Before becoming the Indiana Conference for Women, the event was called The Indiana Governor's Conference for Women. The conference was held at the JW Marriott in Indianapolis, IN with the theme "The Power of Connection." Keynote sessions included a panel discussion with significant business strategists; an address from Katty Kay, BBC World News America Anchor, and Claire Shipman, "Good Morning America" & ABC News Contributor; and a closing address from Judy Smith, Founder & President of Smith & Company.
Breakout sessions included conversation with Sam Horn, CEO of The Intrigue Agency; Whitney Johnson, Speaker, Innovator, & Author; Melissa Greenwell, Executive Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer of Finish Line, Inc.; Pamela Ryckman, Journalist & Author; Sydnie Kohara, Media Strategist; and multiple panel discussions.

The Indiana Governor's Conference for Women was held at the JW Marriott in Indianapolis, IN with the theme COMMUNITY. CONNECTION. INSPIRATION! Keynote sessions included a panel discussion with prominent business leaders and addresses from Jim Citrin, author and Chairman of Spencer Stewart; Martha Stewart, author and Founder of Martha Steward Living OmniMedia; Charlotte Beers, Former CEO, Chairwoman, Undersecretary of State, and author.
Breakout sessions included conversation with Gina Amaro Rudan, Founder & President of Genuine Insights, Inc.; Laura Vanderkam, author; Jennifer Kahnweiler, Ph.D., Speaker, Coach, and author; Margaret Heffernan, author; Sydnie Kohara, Media Strategist; Aliza Sherman, Web & Social Media pioneer; and multiple panel discussions.
2012
The first conference was called The Midwest Invent Your Future Conference for Women and was held at the Crowne Plaza in Indianapolis, IN. Featured speakers included Charlotte Beers, Betsy Myers, Laura Vanderkam, Karen Lubin, Selena Rezvani, and Gina Amaro Rudan.
2010
Deborah Collins Stephens & Billie Dragoo-Garcia founded the event in 2010 and spent time building their mission and network to bring the best resources, inspiration, and ideas to the event. Planning an event of this size takes time, and our Co-Founders wanted to get it right!
